Unless otherwise stated, all the information in this leaflet applies equally to families adopting a child.

Same sex couples and single parents

All information in this booklet applies equally to same sex and heterosexual couples, as well as single parents.

How to make a claim

If you’d like to apply for any of the benefits you read about in this booklet just fill in the appropriate forms, which you’ll find by using the website www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk. The exception is the Tax Credit claim pack, which you must request from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on 0845 300 3900.
