Using your credit card

Are there any fees and charges I should know about?

Yes - as with any credit card fees are charged, please click here to find out what for and how much they are. However, there is no annual fee.

What should I do if my ASDA Credit Card is lost or stolen?

If your Card has been lost or stolen you should report it to us immediately on our Lost and Stolen Card Helpline – 020 8181 0000 (Calls may be recorded and monitored for training and security purposes.). We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will stop all transactions and will arrange for a replacement card to be sent to you as soon as possible.

What do I do if I forget my PIN number?

Please call our Customer Service Team on 0871 522 5888 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. Calls may be recorded and monitored for training and security purposes) who will be able to re-issue your existing PIN.

Can I change my PIN number?

Yes you can, once your card has been activated for 48 hours. This can be changed at most ATM machines.

What happens if I am not happy with my ASDA Credit Card or if I have any more questions about it?

Can I make cash withdrawals with my card?

Yes you can, but please be aware that there is a charge of 3% of the amount you withdraw with a minimum fee of £3. If there is any limit to total amount of cash which you may withdraw, which may change from time to time, we will let you know what this is. (Min Credit Limit £250. Other charges: Balance Transfer 2.99%, Overseas Transactions 2.75%; Copy Statements £3. Min payments are the greater of 1% of the principal plus interest or £5 each month). Regular cash withdrawals may impact your future credit limit or cash limit.

Can I set up a Direct Debit?

Direct Debit saves time, is more convenient, gives you greater control and makes late payment charges easy to avoid. If you’d like to pay by Direct Debit, you can call our Customer Service Team on 0871 522 5888 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. Calls may be recorded and monitored for training and security purposes) to set up a Direct Debit to either pay your minimum payment, a fixed amount or full balance each month, which we will automatically collect saving you the worry of making it on time. You can also set up a Direct Debit online if you register for the Asda Credit Card Online Account Manager. The payment will be transferred from your bank or building society every month, provided you have enough funds in your account. Please allow up to four working days to either set up or amend a Direct Debit. If you’d like to make an additional payment, you can send us a cheque together with the payment slip on your statement. Please remember that if you only make the minimum payment each month, it will take you longer and cost you more to clear your balance. If you choose a fixed monthly payment and in any month the minimum payment exceeds the fixed amount the Minimum payment will be debited. 

Will you change my interest rate?

In the future we may decide to change your interest rate, this may be due to your account performance or perhaps changes to the UK economy. In these circumstances we will inform you of any changes by post. What happens if I make a late payment or go over my credit limit?
