A closer look at the Asda Travel Insurance policy options

Single Trip Travel Insurance
This covers you for one holiday, from 2 days up to no more than 30 days.

Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance
If you're looking for cheap annual holiday insurance then see if you can save through Asda Financial Services. You make one simple payment each year and then you’re covered for as many trips as you like in that year (as long as each trip is no longer than 30 days duration and the maximum total number of days is less than 90). If you travel a lot, you may find this option better value and more convenient than arranging insurance each time you go away.

You'll also find Annual Multi-Trip holiday Insurance cover really handy if you go away in the UK from time to time. That's because, whilst you may not think about holiday insurance for the UK, you can be covered for unexpected events such as falling ill before you go or losing luggage whilst travelling as long as you are pre-booked into your accommodation for at least two nights.

European Travel Insurance
With Asda European Travel Insurance you can get cover for most European countries, the full list of which you can see here. Please bear in mind that travel to Albania requires Worldwide cover.

Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Channel Islands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Eire, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Madeira, Mediterranean Islands (including Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Malta, Gozo, Crete, Rhodes and other Greek Islands, Northern and Southern Cyprus), Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation (West of Urals), Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom. It does NOT cover Albania.

Worldwide Travel Insurance
Your Asda Worldwide Travel Insurance policy will cover you for travel to the USA and all other countries not included in our European cover.

Do I need Superior cover?
You may need Superior cover if the value of your holiday is higher. That's because you'll be covered for up to £3,000 for cancellation of your holiday with Superior cover as opposed to £1,000 with Standard. You'll also be covered for extras such as scheduled airline failure, hijack, pet care and compassionate return as well as having a lower excess to pay for most parts of your policy than with our cheaper travel insurance.

Do I need Winter Sports cover?
You'll need Winter Sports cover if you are going skiing or snowboarding. Luckily, it's easy to add to both Single Trip and Annual Multi-Trip policies whether you've opted for Standard or Superior cover. With this addition you'll be covered for equipment hire to replace your lost or damaged equipment or unused ski passes or missed lessons due to illness, injury or loss. You'll also be covered for piste closure due to lack of snow or extra costs due to avalanches delaying outward or return journeys.
