Comparison websites will have seen an upswing in Jaguar online car insurance quotes recently as the British manufacturer announced its best August sales in two years.
Jaguar Land Rover sold 74% more Jaguars last month than it did in August 2009, and year-to-date sales are also up 45%.
It is the XF model which is keeping the West Midlands-based car maker's fortunes high, with 209 models leaving the forecourt in August, against 126 last year. Since January 7,933 new XF owners have taken out car insurance on their new motors, a marked improvement from the 5,456 sold in 2009.
Geoff Cousins, Jaguar UK's managing director, said the company had seen its busiest August for two years, despite it being a traditionally quiet month for new car sales.
"We are certainly seeing strong evidence of consumer confidence bouncing back," he said. "The XF continues to go from strength to strength with a sales increase of 45% year to date and its 15th consecutive month-on-month improvement. So far this year the XF is outselling all models of the Audi A6 and BMW 5-series."
