Considering the rising cost of fuel, motorbikes are a popular way of getting around and can sometimes be a cheaper alternative to buying a car.

It could be advisable to take out motorbike insurance as a recent study found that one in five stolen vehicles is a bike. According to research from motor information specialists HPI, motorcycle thefts accounted for 22% of all overall stolen vehicles in 2010.
