Look what the cat dragged in - Christmas lights and a Yorkshire pudding, according to a new survey.
The Cats Protection charity survey found that cats were returning from their daily wander with a bizarre and diverse range of gifts for their owners.
In news which may tickle pet insurance cover customers, cats have been known to bring home a bra, a set of Playboy Bunny ears and a pair of swimming goggles.
The charity launched the Facebook appeal asking pet owners to tell all about unusual cat gifts - and hundreds of people did just that.
One cat dragged home a drawing after snatching it from someone's fridge, it even had the magnets still attached; while another wrestled all the way back to the cat flap with s fibre-optic lamp between its teeth.
But among all the odd gifts was the occasional gem, with one owner being presented with £10 by its returning pet.
The charity's director of veterinary services, Maggie Roberts, said: "The domestic cat evolved from the African Wild Cat, whose territory was very large but always included a safe core area where it would take its prey.
"This is how the domestic cats view their owner's house."
